Cognitive Developmental Robotics What makes us human? How do humans acquire cognitive abilities? I have been investigating the mechanisms for cognitive development by designing developmental and learning models for robots as well as by analyzing infant development. See here for more details.

Our paper presented at the 5th IEEE International Conference on Development and Learning and on Epigenetic Robotics has received Babybot Challenge 1st Place Award.
I received Presidential Award for Achievement from Osaka University.

I'll organize the Workshop on HRI: a bridge between Robotics and Neuroscience in the 9th ACM/IEEE International Conference on Human-Robot Interaction.

Our paper presented at the 22nd International Workshop on Robotics in Alpe-Adria-Danube Region has received Best Paper Research Award.
I received Presidential Award for Achievement from Osaka University.

I organize the 3rd Joint IEEE International Conference on Development and Learning and on Epigenetic Robotics, which will be held at Osaka City Central Public Hall from August 18th to 22nd, 2013.
